Client is a world leader in innovative design and manufacturing of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the semiconductor industry. The Company designs, manufactures, markets, refurbishes and services semiconductor processing equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits (ICs).
Case Context/Overview
- As a part of a global digital transformation initiative, we partnered with the client to deliver a comprehensive process harmonization of global quality processes across the company’s value chain.
- The main objective was to develop detailed process maps and look for opportunities to harmonize non-standard quality processes. Additionally, we aimed to identify areas that drive competitive differentiation and are potential candidates for further amplification of capabilities through process and technology improvements.
Key Solution Elements
- Understand and evaluate current Global Quality Business processes.
- Review AS-IS documents, conduct interviews, and validate current state processes with stakeholders across global sites.
- Build, develop, and demonstrate Process Matrix, SIPOC, and Six Sigma-based process mapping at 5K (Micro), 50K (Medium), 75K (Intermediate), and 100K (High) levels.
- Evaluate the existing AS-IS process, systematically identify pain points, and visually map out the process for a clear overview, facilitating the alignment of quick action strategies.

- Global Quality Process Maturity Assessment in Nonconformance Management function and related integrated business processes.
- End-to-end baseline of detailed process mapping at 100K (High Level Overview), 75K (Intermediate Overview), 50K (Medium Level Overview), and 5K (Micro Level Overview) levels across the following key areas:
